There’s an odd thing happening this year. Sometimes the expected winner isn’t as sure as it was once thought. This is the case of Dune: Part Two. Perhaps there’s a sense of déjà-vu but I’m not so sure. Dune: Part Two won nearly every other prize but lost the big one to Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes which won nothing else. That sounds like a split voting kind of situation as The Wild Robot won everything including its topline category. Will this mean anything? Now we have to look to BAFTA before making a final decision.
