Each year, the AARP nominees hew closer and closer to the Academy’s and this has to be one of the most consistently Oscar-friendly set of nominations yet. Sure, there are selections for films like A Private Life and Goodbye June that have no chance with the Academy but most of these selections are at least potential Oscar contenders.
