While September 5 got excellent news, Nickel Boys and Sing Sing really needed a boost from this organization. A Real Pain is also a bit of a surprise but the rest seem like expected choices. It’s important to note that these are ten very white-friendly films with Emilia Pérez and Wicked having anything in the way of diverse voices and perspectives. It’s possible those two black-centric films can overcome the deficit but it’s unlikely that both of them will as PGA goes 9-for-10 quite a lot. But which one makes it and which film gets left out?
