While these awards won’t mean much this year, pay attention for next year, they might. That said, it’s interesting to see how few of the major Oscar contenders picked up a prize here. Four of the Oscar nominees for Best Picture won, so that’s a positive for those films but Anora and The Brutalist weren’t winners, which might just muddy the waters.
