6th Society of Composers & Lyricists Nominations

The Society of Composers & Lyricists is a newer group and their influence on Oscar nominations are difficult to assess. With two TV nominees and one non-shortlisted title among their 12 total song nominations, it’s hard to assess how this might impact the result. Most of the Original Score contenders made it through as well, though they’ve also thumbed their noses at the Academy’s decision to rule Dune: Part Two ineligible.
