In a way, the old Golden Globes are back again. Oddball star-futzer mentality gets Julia Roberts a nomination while big name titles that score several nominations miss out in the top category (Wicked for Good for example). These don’t tell us nearly as much as they might once have. Still, there are a lot of big names nominated here and many of them were already contenders so we haven’t necessarily learned anything.
