If we had seen these first, the Oscar nominations might have been a bit more shocking. Here, One Battle slightly outpaced Sinners while Hamnet and Marty Supreme did better than at the Oscars while I Swear and The Ballad of Wallis Island made their way into the major nominations when they wouldn’t have with the Oscars. Wicked: For Good wasn’t entirely shut out and several of the Oscar nominees were snubbed by BAFTA. Matter of fact, if it wasn’t on BAFTA’s list, its Oscar chances are probably nil at this point.
