Wesley Lovell: In terms of contests, this one is probably one of the most assured. Frankenstein will win this award though a sweep by Sinners might claim this category too.
Pete Patrick: This will likely go to Frankenstein with Sinners its toughest competition.
Thomas La Tourrette: Fresh off its win for best period costume design from the guild, Frankenstein should prove a repeat winner here. The Academy does tend to like overdone costumes, and Frankenstein ably fits that bill. I do not see any of the other nominees having a chance of winning with Sinners and Hamnet being very distant possibilities. Frankenstein won the guild award over both of those, and the other two winners were not nominated. Frankenstein wins easily.
