Oppenheimer and Poor Things had very good days. As did The Zone of Interest. Barbie and Past Lives had poor showings. Is this a peculiarity of the British nomination process? Possibly. It’s hard to know for sure. All of Us Strangers had a mix of results. Two or three positive citations with a couple of negative ones. Napoleon, despite being poorly reviewed, still managed to make it onto the Best British Film list, which calls into question a lot of their other selections.
