Wesley Lovell: While the award at BAFTA went to non-nominated Poor Things, The Creator dominated the Visual Effects Society. Its nearest competition is either Godzilla Minus One or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Pete Patrick: The Creator has the most intriguing visual effects but they seem to really like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 so that could upset.
Thomas La Tourrette: This is a race between two films, Godzilla Minus One and The Creator. Even though The Creator did better with the VES, I still think this will go to Godzilla. I am not sure why I think this way. Perhaps because the more successful and lower budgeted Godzilla did much better at the box office. Or that while visually interesting, The Creator was less successful with its story. The Creator had some stunning set pieces and some intricately detailed parts, but it was just not as good a film. I do not think the other three nominees stand a chance. I think it will go to Godzilla but would not be surprised if The Creator wins.
