Wesley Lovell: With the various precursors going several ways, there is no consistent winner that seems destined. Looking at the content, the one that seems to have the most potential, 20 Days in Mariupol, is my prediction. Any of the other four could win, so my runner-up selection is far from destined to win if 20 Days does not. That said, Four Daughters has some acclaim behind it (especially the International Feature shortlist) that suggests it could be a surprise winner.
Pete Patrick: 20 Days in Mariupol, the lauded documentary about the early days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, should continue its awards domination here.
Thomas La Tourrette: Of the nominated documentaries, 20 Days in Mariupol has by far the most precursor wins, so it should easily win the Oscar. I have not had much a chance to see them yet, though I have heard good things about all of them. They have all been well reviewed and well-liked by audiences. Four Daughters may lose some votes due to recreated scenes which will probably keep it from pulling an upset win. Look for the harrowing 20 Days in Mariupol to win.
