Wesley Lovell: The race comes down to “Golden” and “I Lied to You.” The former has the edge but a sweep by Sinners might bring in the latter for a win.
Pete Patrick: It would be foolish to bet against the universally loved “Golden” at this point.
Thomas La Tourrette: Golden from KPop Demon Hunters is the likely winner. It is integral to the film and has become a legitimate hit topping the charts in over 30 countries. It has already won awards from Critics’ Choice and the Golden Globes, further cementing its front runner status. Its main competition comes from I Lied to You from Sinners, also a song in the film rather than over the closing credits. It showed a magical moment when the music brings together past, present and future. However, the moment is perhaps more memorable than the song itself. Diane Warren will have to wait until nomination 18 to finally get a win, and neither of the other competitors stand a chance. Golden should live up to its name and take home a golden statuette.
