They had to move their ceremony because of the wildfires but they chose to sit comfortably after the Oscars rather than before so these are mostly moot.

Wesley Lovell: Conclave and Emilia Pérez are the only Oscar nominees in this list. I suspect it will be one of them and with all the troubles Emilia has faced, Conclave seems like the best choice
Pete Patrick: I can’t see anything other than Conclave winning this, but if there is an upset then it’s likely to be something we’re not expecting like Civil War.
Thomas La Tourrette: Conclave seemed like it might win the Oscar, so I expect it to win here. Dune Part Two is its closest competition.

Wesley Lovell: Anora and Wicked are the two Oscar nominees on this list. Yet, Challengers was thought to be a primary contender for an Oscar nomination until it didn’t get one. I suspect the editors may rebel and go for that film isntead; but now that the Academy has endorsed Anora, they might lean towards Sean Baker.
Pete Patrick: Similar to drama, this is almost certain to go to Anora with an outside chance of an upset by Challengers.
Thomas La Tourrette: Anora did win the Oscar which makes it the favorite, though I’ve heard that the editing of Challengers was superb.

The Wild Robot WL PP TL

Wesley Lovell: The Wild Robot seems like the safest prediction but Wallace & Gromit had plenty of action to recognize.
Pete Patrick: Should be The Wild Robot, but could also be another surprise win for Flow.  Nothing else is likely.
Thomas La Tourrette: The Wild Robot had enough going on that it will win over the others.
