When looking at Best Cinematography, this group is one of the best precursors.

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CINEMATOGRAPHERS AWARDS

Best Cinematography

El Conde
Maestro
Killers of the Flower Moon (RU:Peter, RU:Thomas)
Poor Things (RU:Wesley)
Oppenheimer (Wesley, Peter, Thomas)

Wesley Lovell: Oppenheimer has been dominating this award all season. I see no reason for it to stop. While I was annoyed at the fish-eye lenses in Poor Things, I think that might give it an edge over the others who want to see obvious, not subtle.
Pete Patrick: Like everything else this year, Oppenheimer seems to be the clear favorite with Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things battling it out for second place.
Thomas La Tourette: In a battle of the three-hour epics, Oppenheimer should easily dominate.

Documentary

King Coal (Peter, RU:Wesley, RU:Thomas)
Kokomo City (Wesley, Thomas, RU:Peter)
Murder in Big Horn – Episode 1

Wesley Lovell: Kokomo City is the most acclaimed of these titles and its black-and-white photography is sure to be catnip to these voters.
Pete Patrick: King Coal has already won numerous documentary awards so it is the likely favorite here as well.
Thomas La Tourette: Kokomo City should win, though I know little about these.

Spotlight Award

Citizen Saint (Peter, Thomas)
The New Boy (RU:Wesley, RU:Thomas)
Story Ave (Wesley, RU:Peter)

Wesley Lovell: I don’t know enough about these films to say for sure but Story Ave got some attention and it has that B&W cinematography voters love (see El Conde).
Pete Patrick: Citizen Saint has received the best reviews with Story Ave right behind it, but The New Boy stars Cate Blanchett so anything is possible.
Thomas La Tourette: This is a total guess.
