AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CINEMATOGRAPHERS AWARDS

Winner Predictions:
Wesley Lovell Pete Patrick Thomas LaTourrette

Runner-Up Predictions:
Wesley Lovell Pete Patrick Thomas LaTourrette

Best Cinematography

Frankenstein Nil
Marty Supreme Nil
One Battle After Another WL PP
Sinners WL PP TL
Train Dreams TL

Wesley Lovell: If something other than Sinners wins, like One Battle After Another did at BAFTA, then the momentum will have shifted officially.
Pete Patrick: Yes, it’s another battle between One Battle After Another and Sinners.
Thomas La Tourrette: This had felt like a two film race between Sinners and Train Dreams, with Sinners the likely winner. But then BAFTA went to One Battle After Another which was a surprise and opens up the race. I still think it is between the first two and will give the edge to Sinners.

Documentary Cinematography

Nil
2000 Meters from Andriivka WL PP TL
Come See Me in the Good Light WL PP TL
Folktales Nil

Wesley Lovell: Come See Me in the Good Light has that cinematographers feel to it that should propel it forward, though the war zone elements of 2000 Meters to Andriivka might boost it to the win.
Pete Patrick: This one seems like a toss-up between Come See Me in the Good Light and 2000 Meters from Andrivka.
Thomas La Tourrette: The war documentary 2000 Meters from Andriivka should prevail.

Spotlight Award

Nil
Amrum PP
Orphan WL TL
The Plague WL PP TL

Wesley Lovell: The Plague is likely to prevail, though it could be one of the others also.
Pete Patrick: Here we go again with one for which I have no idea.
Thomas La Tourrette: The only one of these I have heard of is The Plague, which will also boast some underwateer shots which might help it win.
