We’re looking back at all of the Oscar winners and selecting what films and performances and comparing them to one another. The most effective way to do that is pit each winner against each other winner. This long-running series will ultimately result in a final ranking of every winner in every category (except the documentary and short film categories). If you’re new here, then we recommend you go back to all of the past polls and participate in those as well. Only by a full bodied response set can we truly determine the best Oscar winners. With the realization of just how much longer this will take, I’ve increased the number of face-offs per category each week. In those that are currently running 20 pairings, they are being increased to 30 while those currently featuring 40 face-offs, the number will now be 60. While this doesn’t cut off a lot of weeks on the backend, I felt that any more than this would be even more frustrating to handle. That said, if you’re willing to expand the results further to say 40/80 or even 50/100, let me know.

Apparently, Google Forms has a hard limit on the number of characters that can be completed with responses and by expanding the number per week, it broke things. I will reevaluate how to handle this starting next week, so I’m removing the link/form for this week and we’ll start fresh next week. Sorry for the inconvenience.
