Once again, our prognosticators have been hard at work putting together revised lists. There aren’t a lot of changes this month, but enough to create some interesting new match-ups. Further, we’ve added the Animated Feature and Visual Effects categories to expand our lists to ten categories. Next month, we’ll add another two. They will probably be Film Editing and Cinematography.

KEY:

Appears on Three Lists
Appears on Two Lists
Appears on One Lists

Introductions

Wesley Lovell: Still not a lot of changes being made a few titles got pushed out of contention, but otherwise, there haven’t been a lot of changes. Expect more sometime in the next couple of months.
Pete Patrick: A few tweaks but not many as we await the onslaught of film festivals to come. The big question at this point is whether Barbie will be considered an original or adapted screenplay. Until we know for sure, I’m removing it from my predictions, having previously placed it in Original.
Tripp Burton: For now, I’m not believing in a lot of the rumored delays until they become official.
Thomas LaTourette: There is a bit of movement from last month, but most of my choices are similar. The ongoing writers’ strike may affect some of the films that may still been in production for a late year release, but the actors strike will definitely affect some films like The Piano Lesson that were still in production. And not being able to bring in actors to redo scenes or re-record dialogue may push some films into a 2024 release date. Will have to wait and see how that goes.
