Although April may seem like it’s a bit too early for Oscar predictions, Sinners was in release at this time last year, so it’s entirely valid. Sure, a lot of films will come out in the last half of the year that will upend these predictions but for now, this is how we all see the race.

Introductions
Wesley Lovell: I’m sure there are a lot of films we’ve yet to hear about that will make a play for Oscar nominations. For now, based on historical information, these are what my initial prediction thoughts are.
Pete Patrick: t’s way too early to make predictions with any level of certainty, but these are my early guesses based on subject matter and the reputations of the people involved.
Thomas LaTourette: At this point I know little about these movies as only Project Hail Mary has been released. I have seen previews for a few more, but many are totally unknown to me. So it is merely guesswork as to what might be nominated.
