It’s time to update some already-posted contenders. This month, we’ll look at everything that we’ve posted prior to this week and update everything. Only films that move into a new stage will be updated and will be outlined below. We’ll also share the current leaderboard for each of the current stages just to see what films are ahead in the race and which are behind.

Moving to Stage 2

We have three films moving into Stage 2. This means that these three films have finally had all of their background information set. Just click on the links below to see their pages. What is most often missing at this stage is information on distribution, MPAA ratings, and length. Rarely, the missing information is credited individuals, such as composers, editors, and cinematographers.

Ear for Eye
The Holdovers
Napoleon

Moving to Stage 3

There are a further three films that have moved on to Stage 3. This means their theatrical releases have already closed or a film has been released wide.

Golda
Medusa Deluxe
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

Moving to Stage 4

If a film has surpassed a month in release, it is eligible for a move to Stage 4, but must first have already completed Stage 3 as well, so a lot of films stay in Stage 3 for a relatively long period of time while others move to Stage 4 rather quickly. We have only two films that have arrived in Stage 4.

Earth Mama
The Unknown Country

Moving to Stage 5

Stage 5 is the final stage before the critics, guilds, and other organizations start handing out awards. This will be the final stage all of our films will reach prior to December (at the earliest). This means they have fully completed their box office runs.

Nine films have moved into Stage 5 as of this update. They are below:

Amanda
The Beasts
Blue Jean
Every Body
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
L’Immensitá
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
